Jim York

Senior Data Analytics Advisor

Jim York is a versatile leader with extensive experience and a unique combination of business, science and information technology leadership. He has remarkable problem solving abilities and a proven track record of driving organizational change, assembling high performance teams, and exceeding business objectives. In 2015, he founded York Analytics, LLC, a company which helps businesses make informed management decisions through data analytics. Prior to forming York Analytics, Mr. York spent 20 years in the newspaper industry holding executive positions in IT and as a newspaper publisher. He was the Vice President of IT for E.W. Scripps where he led organizational change and headed several efficiency and reorganization projects. He was president and publisher for the Daily Journal, a Lee Enterprises company and Vice President of IT for Pulitzer Newspapers Inc.

Prior to his extensive newspaper industry experience, Mr. York was an analytical chemist working in the environmental chemistry industry. He’s been involved in several non-profit organizations holding board positions for the United Way, Project Sunlight and the News Media Technology Group.

Mr. York graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, and received his MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.
