Emily H. Dresslar most recently headed up Strategic Partnerships for Calkins Digital, an award-winning start-up providing strategy and technology for mobile and Over-The-Top streaming video products to publishers and broadcasters across the U.S.. Calkins Digital was purchased TownNews Inc. in January 2018.

Dresslar has also worked at Calkins Media and GateHouse Media and served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Local Media Consortium from 2016-2017. She is a former newspaper editor-in-chief in Western Colorado and has also served as a researcher and consultant for media organizations including The McCormick Foundation and the NewsMedia Association of America Foundation. She is an occasional guest lecturer at journalism schools and student programs across the U.S.

Dresslar is a graduate of Michigan State University’s School of Journalism. She received her master’s degree in Media Strategy and Leadership from The Medill School and holds a professional certificate in Media Management from the Kellogg School of Management, both at Northwestern University. She lives in Evanston, Ill.
